My name is
Roberto Dillon
and I am an Italian computer engineer living in Singapore where I am
working in the fascinating world of video games.
Right now, I am involved in both development and education as I am
currently working as a lecturer at the School of
Interactive and Digital Media in Nanyang Polytechnic
where I am teaching "Audio Creation" (i.e. Sound Design and Programming
for games) besides taking care of the design and production of
different game related projects.
This website is
intended for aspiring game developers and gaming enthusiasts. In fact, the aim of
these pages is to entertain you with some little games
I wrote in my spare
time (nothing advanced, just some little ideas I played with
since I can't help but keep thinking to game development also while
not at work!) while, maybe, showing you some
game programming techniques through step-by-step tutorials and well commented
code examples.
Besides the tutorials, which will be made available as soon as I end
writing them, you'll also find some general computer related E-Books
and articles/presentations I gave to conferences around the
world.
The Tools page will, on the other hand, introduce you to some very interesting game related resources which are surely worth knowing if you have an interest in computer and video games and need something to start shaping your ideas.
The Blog page instead will contain all my "rants" and impressions on the ever changing gaming industry besides news on my activities. Of course, all the views expressed there are my own and don't necessarily correspond to those of the organizations I work for (and may also be completely pointless! ;-) ) but hopefully they will be entertaining and, maybe, even a little thought-provoking...
Have fun and feel free to get in touch with me at roberto.dillon {at} member.igda.org !
